Salary: £33,094.48 per annum , plus Veolia benefits and pension

Hours: Monday to Friday, (07:00-17:00) 48 hours per week

Location: Bank road, Chittening Industrial Estate, Bristol, BS11 0YB

What you'll be doing;

Ensure on Curtain sided vehicles that whilst loading all vehicles have either, straps/ bars or boards to secure the load.

To ensure all baled stock has adequate fire breaks between one stack and another. As well as ensuring all stacking including baled, palletised and caged material is done so in a safe manner.

Maintain trucks by following daily check sheets.

To complete tasks assigned to the job holder as per the housekeeping programme.

Make sure the bale line is clear at all times.

To rotate stock as directed.

To load / unload vehicles as per Company procedures and SSW's.

To report any defects/damage/problems in the factory, yard or to equipment.

To keep the yard floor area clear and tidy maintaining access for vehicles at all times

General & Bailing Press

To process paper from efficiently and as safely as possible

To ensure that all paper processed at the branch is sorted to gain optimum value

To complete the tasks assigned to the job holder as per the housekeeping programme

To check for safety hazards on a regular basis and report

To assist in completion of weekly and daily inspection and testing requirements

To check machinery by following the safe systems of work and checklists established by the Operations Lead

Ensure all safe systems of work are followed as instructed

Inform the Team Leader or his nominated deputy of any contamination within the paper

To ensure that bales are of uniform length/dimensions and are wired correctly.

Ensure that paper produced is to Mill standard.

What we're looking for;

Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the general public

Work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Reliable, punctual and customer orientated

Able to follows work instructions from the site supervisor/manager

Computer literate

Desirable:

Trained and certified to operate plant equipment - Telehandler and FLT

Previous experience within a similar role
