Role Overview: For our Reply office in Manchester, we're currently recruiting software engineers with a strong interest in joining a leading IT consultancy. As a software engineer, you'll develop new systems and applications based on detailed specifications which will include designing, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. Responsibilities: You ll work directly with customers to quickly understand their problems, collaboratively create technical designs, and then work in a small team with minimal supervision to deploy the solution into an AWS-based environment. Write, amend, refactor, and document code to build moderately complex programs/components/scripts whilst applying agreed modelling techniques, standards, patterns, and tools. Understand and analyse a client's organisation/operation and requirements in order to produce recommendations, technical design documents, and time/cost estimates. Work with other digital disciplines to understand user needs and what needs to be built, identifying, creating, and applying software development and security standards and processes as required. Support the general delivery process on projects, helping the customer with remote and on-site support activities. About the candidate: A minimum Bachelor s degree (2.1 or higher) is required in IT, Computer Science, or in a Technology-related field. Excellent inter-personal and communicative skills. Strong interest in serverless computing and in cloud-based solutions built using AWS native services. You're flexible in regards to business travelling as well as working across different projects.
