The site is easily accessible from towns such as Reading, Henley, Marlow, Basingstoke, Wokingham, Oxford, Newbury, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Camberley, and surrounding areas.\n\nHere at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior technical experience isn t always necessary for success.\n\nMain ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to Site Manager. The Multi Skilled Operativewill work on the day-to-day basis on the Recovery Operations Weighbridge when operational. For any reason the Recovery Operations is not Operational they would be expected to do other site duties, and work with the team to the site plan, whilst working to keep the Health and Safety and Housekeeping around site to a high standard.\n\nYour responsibilities in this role will include (not exhaustive):\n\nOperating the Recovery Operations Weighbridge.\nEnsure materials being brought into site meet the required criteria for the Recovery Permit.\nWorking with other members of the team to ensure good communication with the customers.\nOperating the Quarry Weighbridge when required.\nFollow SHE policies and procedures.\nEnsure Site always conforms with safety requirements.\nHealth, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities\nInspections of the Weighbridge/Plant and acting on defects and implement remedial action.\nPlant Maintenance as required.\nEnsure that plant availability is maximised when working in the quarry\nOperation of the Loading Shovel for the loading of lorries and feeding the processing plant (when working in the Quarry)\nWorking to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard.Flexibility and adaptability are key to this role to meet with the sites production requirements.\n\nThe Ideal CandidateTo succeed in the role of aMulti Skilled Operativethe following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:\n\nProven experience driving and operating mobile plant ADT (Articulated Dump Truck), Loading Shovel, Telehandler, etc.\nKnowledge of Landfill Operations\nKnowledge of Aggregate Operations\nGood Timekeeping flexible as to the sites operating requirements\nGood Communication skills bringing problems to the attention of Line Management\nFull UK manual car Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.Previous experience working in a Landfill/ Plant / Quarry / Heavy Manufacturing environment would prove highly beneficial; but this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.\n\nWhy UsAlong with the role ofMulti Skilled Operativewe additionally offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives, and benefits:\n\nBonus scheme\nEnhanced holiday entitlement\nContributory pension scheme\nAccess to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.\nAccess to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice\nAccess to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.
