Resident Engineer

I am working with a fantastic client throughout the UK and looking to recruit an experienced Resident Engineer in a field service capacity, (material handling engineer), ideally mechanically biased to work at local client resident sites in the Liverpool area. This role offers extensive training and career progression.\n\nResponsibilities for this role include:\n\nTo find, diagnose and rectify faults on customer FLT s as deemed necessary, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible.\nTo provide reliable information to the customer with regards to maintenance, consultation on repairs and to provide advice on the use of equipment and updates on repairs.\nEnsure automated system and all paperwork (job sheets, timesheets and purchase requisitions and parts paperwork) /IT systems are.\nTo liaise with the Service Controller, customer and Service Manager to ensure information regarding individual forklifts and equipment is shared.\nTo make proposals for the improvements and ensuring that Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices are followed at all times.\nMonitor stock levels/movement records and obtain hour meter readings /site information at every visit.\nEnsure all company issued equipment and tooling (including van, laptop, printer etc) is kept in a satisfactory, clean and safe condition and report any failures\n\n Ideally to apply for this role you will have:\n\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent associated occupation.\nMechanical hydraulic and/or electrical competencies.\nHold a full and valid driving licence.\nFantastic communication skills to liaise with customers and internal colleagues.\nSound IT knowledge/skills, e.g. word, Excel, email.\nAbility to prioritise and work independently and as part of a team.
